ABOUT US
Shadō Lighting is an architectural lighting design and electrical contracting practice based in Sydney. We design and deliver lighting solutions that enhance the character, atmosphere, and functionality of a space.
Our Design & Install approach means we manage the entire process — from initial lighting concept through to final installation and commissioning. By combining lighting design expertise with electrical contracting, we remove the disconnect between designer and installer, ensuring a seamless and practical outcome.
Shadō Lighting is led by founder Kristian Stevenson, who brings over 16 years of experience in electrical and lighting installations. Kristian has also completed the Illumination Design Program at the University of Sydney, combining technical expertise with a strong design-led approach.
OUR DESIGN PROCESS
Project Brief – We work with clients, architects, designers, and builders to understand the project goals, layout, and lighting requirements.
Concept Design – Development of a lighting concept that defines the atmosphere, key features, and lighting approach.
Detailed Design – Preparation of lighting layouts and specifications suitable for construction.
Construction Coordination – Ongoing support to ensure the lighting design is implemented correctly through to completion.
